Carolina’s Savior J. Cole has been nominated for a Grammy in the Best New Artist Series. Here’s a mini interview where he talks about his love for music, attempting to give Jay-Z his demo, and more.
J. Cole stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon yesterday to perform his single “Can’t Get Enough” sans Trey Songz and backed by The Roots.
In Epsiode 3, J. Cole tells the stories behind “Lights Please,” “Sideline Story,” “Never Told” and “Cole World” from Cole World: The Sideline Story. He also breaks down his relationship with Jay Z, working with legendary producer No I.D. and where the name of his album came from.
Muve Music from Cricket Wireless recently caught up with J. Cole to hear the stories behind “Lost Ones,” “Rise and Shine,” “Work Out” and “God’s Gift.” He discusses working with Jay Z, where ideas for his verses came from and the production process.

Although I’m not a huge fan of Red Cafe, I was in love with the original version of this track once I heard it. Ryan Leslie and Rick Ross complimented the song way too well! This time around, Cafe gets Trey Songz, Wale, and J. Cole to jump on the track for the remix. His mixtape Hell Kitchen should be dropping anytime soon, as well as his debut album under Bad Boy Records entitled Shake Down.
