After allowing his recent album In Theory to “breathe”, Ryhson offers us a cut which didn’t make that tape’s tracklist, “Shadow Boxing Self Destruction”. Also, stay tuned for the visual treatment of “God’s Broken Smile” premiering some time next week.
Shot in the Dominican Republic, A$AP Rocky brings us the latest visual off LONG.LIVE.A$AP for “Wild For The Night”. From floral shirts, beautiful women, and a party.. it looks like they had a wild night indeed.
The Miami-based production crew known as Grassman, make their AO! debut with their first single (sponsored by Last Rights Clothing), Walter Kronkite. The group consists of five members, Square Boogie, Whoibee, Gaby Duran, OgeeE, and Luden. The Polar Bear Mack (J NICS) is recruited for the street single, and he’s the one responsible for the ending verse (you know they had to save the best for last). Grassman has a compilation EP in the works, consisting of seven tracks in total. Natural Selection is due out in Spring 2013, a project influenced by both classic soulful sounds and that good ol’ southern hospitality. To put the icing on the cake, the EP will feature J NICS, Prez P, VURN, and Flight School Preps. The way South Florida’s music scene has been panning out, you can’t help but crack a smile.
ATL’s Two-9 collective invaded SXSW 2013, and here is the recap of their time out in Austin, TX. Being that Two-9 are savvy streetwear heads, we have a bunch of Fuct, Stussy and Bathing Ape clothing sightings in the video. Nardwuar (this guy was literally everywhere during SXSW 2013) makes a great cameo as well. Curtis Williams (of Two-9) was even able to capture a picture with the Human Serviette. The featured SXSW showcases that Two-9 was involved with centered around the The Source, The New ATL and The Illmore. At the end of visuals, we get a short snippet of what appears to be an upcoming FatKidsBrotha track. Before we end this, do yourself a favor and download the Key! & TrapMoneyBenny NOONEISREADY tape at once.
Chi-town artist Chance The Rapper takes a nice little visit to Mexico (which hosts El Castillo, Chichen Itza). In case you wondering, Sean Paul is still very much relevant in those parts. We are not sure if its the rich white folks keeping the Temperature record alive or not. Chance has a fantastic personality, plus we get a bonus cut at the end, so I’m sure everyone will find this outing to be entertaining. Still debating if I should scratch off that trip to Jamaica and head to Mexico instead. Chance definitely captured some of the best parts of the country in these visuals. Acid Rap drops April 30th.
Not much is known about Lorenzo Asher on my behalf but what I do know is that we’ve got something on our hands here. The 22-year old Cleveland native got his start in the game through the form of ghostwriting for major label artists but is now stepping out from behind the scenes as he preps his debut self-produced project, Liquor, Loud, Loyalty, Love. Due out around late April / early July, the track “Begin” serves as the intro for the album and has garnered my attention with one listen. It’s for certain that this guy has got a knack for catchy hooks and bars. Press play below and stay tuned for more!
Over the course of the coming weeks, the 22 yr old Cleveland native will be releasing music and visuals to support Liquor, Loud, Loyalty, Love, his self-produced project, set for a late April / early July release. Today, he gives us his first offering, fittingly titled, “Begin” which just premiered over at Hypetrak.com and serves as the intro for the album. Expect a video for “Begin” to follow shortly, but for now, enjoy the track!
There is alot of good music coming out of Chicago these days, absolutely no doubt about that. Aside from artists like Rockie Fresh and King Louie just to name a few, some of the Chi’s most buzzing artists are coming from the SaveMoney crew which consists of artists like Vic Mensa, Chance The Rapper, Kids These Days, and more. With that said, today I’ve come across SaveMoney’s own Joey Purp who dropped this new cut entitled “Don’t Stop” upon his return to the Chi after SXSW. Now, I’m not sure if this track lives anywhere but what I discovered is that dude can spit. I swear this crew has hidden gems waiting to be discovered! The laid back cut and his flow have me eager to hear more so on that note, press play while we look forward to what’s next from Joey Purp.

Tony Williams gives The Source the green light to premiere his remix for “Another You” which originally featured solely Kanye West but now comes with added verses from Freddie Gibbs & King Chip!
