Welcome to the first installment of Sunday Night Funnies. Here’s how this came about. I’m always told about funny youtube videos or photos throughout the week and always end up sharing them on my facebook or email. So as I had some downtime tonight, I thought why not start sharing them with my readers? I mean, who doesn’t enjoy a good laugh?
Tonight we have 2 youtube videos. One is the original (above), the other is a parody (below). Both are hilarious. Even more so because the actions are absolutely based on real life! Just watch.
Wale gives us visuals for one of his favorite freestyles. Ambition is stores now, cop it.
Drake drops off the Album Cover for his Sophmore Effort “Take Care” in Stores October 24th!! Peep what he had to say below.
“Feels like it’s been so long. Is life moving so fast in this generation that when we desire something it begins to move in slow motion? Are we just used to getting what we want right away? Or do we require one another to feel right about all that is going on around us? Maybe our anticipation is justified by the fact that we genuinely cannot wait to share a moment again? Either way, your life and mine are scheduled to meet on October 24…I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
See you soon.
Drake
AO UPDATE: Ehhh, I don’t know if I’m feelin’ it. Is he wearing that velour shirt again?
This is also the first cover out of 3, maybe I’ll like one of the remaining 2 more..
Soul Culture released this clip of their interview with Method Man and Masta Killa today for obvious reasons. In it Method talks about his gripe with Father’s Day and the commercialism that goes on behind it and other holidays. “Father’s Day sucks, we deserve way more credit” he says, when he’s mentioning the fact that Mother’s Day has an exponentially higher fiscal importance in today’s society. I would say I have to agree with Meth and Masta Killa, my father taught me not to let your love for your parents wait until one specific day; so kudos to them for keepin it 1hunnit.

In their latest issue, Slam Magazine featured XV in the “Lyrics of the Month” section. Highlighting his crafty lyrics and how he incorporates NBA references in a majority of his songs, they specifically shout out “Textbook Stuff”, “That’s Just Me”, and “The Last Hero” all off of his latest tape. Big ups to XV getting such a feature in one of the biggest Athletics magazines out there. If you haven’t gotten his newest project, Zero Heroes, you can cop that here.

haha! Theophlius London tore it up last Friday in Brooklyn when he put on some Biggie tracks and started rockin’ with the audience! Everyone was feeling it.
Being that it is the finals, and the fact that basketball and Hip Hop go together like turkey and bread, I figured I just had to post this up. If you’re a 90′s baby I’m sure you’re wondering why it’s taken so long and it might be a little difficult for you to keep from getting goosebumps. With that said, you might want to pull up a seat with that turkey samich I’ve got you thinking about and peep this. Enjoy.

The Weeknd is definitely making moves! Now, HBO’s infamous show, Entourage will be using “High For This” as the new theme song. This is the show’s 8th and FINAL season which will premiere July 24th. Shouts to Miss Info via Scott Verner.

It’s that time of year again, and if you don’t know what i’m talking about. I’m referring to The JazzReggae Festival at UCLA which is held every Memorial Day Weekend. This year marks the 25th anniversary of this historic celebration of music, culture, and community. The JazzReggae Festival put together by the student body, and is thrown for the entire Los Angeles Community. I went for the first time last year to see Nas and Damian Marley, and had the time of my life. It was a wonderful experience, good vibes, excellent music, great food, and amazing people surrounding the premises. I’m personally looking forward to the Jam Day of the Festival which will include performances by Lupe, Bilal, Talib Kweli and more. All LA residents should be here, I promise you won’t regret it. See you all next weekend!
We can’t help but post this video. I had to walk away from my laptop for about 5 minutes to get my self in order because I haven’t seen anything this funny since Short Bus Shawty. I don’t know what YC thinks of this vid but these dudes let us know how he would describe Bin Laden’s assassination. Too many quoteables for me to write though sorry. Enjoy.
