MASS Heats Up the Streets of VA with His Self-Titled Debut

Virginia has been a hotbed for Hip-Hop talent since the 90s. Although the region hasn’t produced many new artists over the past few years, D.R.A.M., a product of Hampton Roads, proved VA still has the juice when he topped charts with “Broccoli.”

Following-up on his regions success is MASS, a street rapper with a dark and gully self-titled mixtape you’re sure to love.

Those that have heard D.R.A.M.‘s debut project #1EPICSUMMER are sure to remember MASS’ bass pounding, Kaine Solo-produced collaborative cut with D.R.A.M., “Goldens.” That same menacing sound gets projected in new light as MASS spits over grim production cooked up by the homie Butch Dawson, as well as VERYRVRE, Dan Stuckie and a few others.

Izzle Mane, Remy Banks, DP and the big homie D.R.A.M. are a few friendly faces that assist MASS on his doped out journey of drugs, guns and nostalgia. “B.A.M. (By Any Means),” “Only Gang” and “FLEX” [watch above] are a few standouts cuts. Overall the tape is solid through and through.

Stream MASS’ debut below and look for more heat from him in the future.
