It was just last week when I became a fan of singer/master guitarist Pinky Liberachi and his debut body of work The Love Pink EP. It was also the first time I heard about Hoodstock Records, an independent label out of Kentucky. Fast forward to today, Pinky along with Hoodstock Records front runners Nemo Achida and DesignerFlow have decided to start a weekly series, Hoodstock Radio. Having all relocated to Los Angeles to lock themselves away in a studio in the valley and create music all day and night, the trio has put together a selection of 9 tracks for this series.
Here as an AO! Premiere, “Make Things Right” is the first record up in this series. In this song we find Nemo Achida opening his first 8 bars in a nostalgic form, taking inspiration from Big Pun & Donnell Jones’ “It’s so hard”. Pinky liberachi’s electric guitar & tonal approach is immediately present to accompany the groove-ready song. Designerflow, the label’s CEO/President closes this California-inspired record with tales from the colder streets of Kentucky.
Listen below and stay tuned as new music drops every Monday!
